Blades, DE : Woman injured when the SUV she was driving was hit by a school bus on South Market Street on Thursday, April 7, 2016

Delaware State Police say a woman was hurt when the SUV she was driving was hit by a school bus in Blades.

Troopers said in a news release that the crash happened about 8:30 a.m. Thursday on South Market Street. Police say 59-year-old Alice Collick of Laurel was driving the bus and stopped before making a right turn onto South Market Street.

Investigators say Collick then drove into the path of an SUV driven by 42-year-old Gabrieala Rojas-Herrara of Blades, hitting the SUV.

Officers say Rojas-Herrera was taken to a hospital for treatment of injuries that don't appear to be life-threatening. Neither Collick nor the 18 students on the bus were hurt.

Rojas-Herrera was ticketed for driving while suspended. Collick was ticketed for failure to remain stopped.
