A 20-year-old Pennsylvania college student was injured in a bicycle accident east of Norfolk, Monday afternoon.
According to the Stanton County Sheriff's Office, Andrea Jin was riding her bike on a gravel road when she lost control and was thrown from her bike striking her head. The bicyclist was initially unconscious and suffered
abrasions to her body.
Jin was wearing a helmet which reduced her injuries, according to the sheriff's office. She was transported to Faith Regional Health Services by Stanton Rescue.
Jin, a New York Cornell University student, was one of 29 college students bicycling from Providence, RI to Seattle, WA. The group was traveling to a location east of Norfolk to spend the night.
