Crystal Lake, IL : Fatal Crystal Lake motorcycle crash at the intersection of Virginia Road and Berkshire Drive on Tuesday, 10th September 2019

Crystal Lake police have made an arrest in a fatal hit and run crash at the intersection of Virginia Road and Berkshire Drive Tuesday night.

According to interim McHenry County coroner John Miller, George Klinger, 53, of Algonquin, was killed in the crash.

Miller said a cause of death was not yet available. Klinger's autopsy is scheduled for 9:15 a.m. on Thursday. No other information on Klinger was immediately available.

Evidence recovered at the scene led to the arrest of 53-year-old Crytal Lake woman, Carolyn A. Tyrell, according to a news release the Crystal Lake Police Department sent Wednesday morning.

Police responded to the intersection about 7:37 p.m. for a reported crash with injuries, where responders identified a male and female victim who had been thrown from a motorcycle they were riding, according to a press release from the Crystal Lake Police
