Queens, NY : Off-duty FDNY EMT killed in Queens motorcycle crash near the St. John’s University Campus in Hillcrest on Sunday, 19th August 2018

An off-duty FDNY EMT died in a motorcycle crash in Queens Sunday night, police said.
Police and medics responded to the crash at about 10:25 p.m. on Utopia Parkway by 80th Drive, near the St. John’s University Campus in Hillcrest.
Medics rushed the 25-year-old victim to Queens General Hospital, but he could not be saved.
He was riding north on Utopia Parkway and lost control when a southbound vehicle made a U-turn in front of him, sources said.
