Birmingham, AL: 5 children, 2 adults injured in Birmingham wreck on Friday, July 17th 2015
Two adults and five children were injured Friday morning in a wreck.The accident was reported around 8:15 a.m. on Third Avenue North and Sixth Place North. Witnesses said a minivan sped around a corner, where cars were waiting at a red light.The minivan swerved to miss the cars, careened into a parking lot and crashed onto a concrete piling.The children in the minivan ranged in age from infants to 6 years old. Only two of the five children were in child safety seats. A 2-year-old was taken to UAB Hospital for treatment of a head injury. One adult suffered an arm fracture, and one adult suffered a leg fracture. The other four children complained of pain.
