WESTFORD, MA : A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a crash on Boston on Saturday, October, 7th 2017
A motorcyclist suffered serious injuries following a crash on Boston Road at about 8 p.m. Saturday.
The Westford Police Department social media accounts stated that the crash took place on Boston Road in the area of Blakes Hill Road and Crown Road.
The crash forced emergency responders to close Boston Road as police officers redirected drivers attempting to access the roadway after exiting Interstate 495. Drivers were also prevented from accessing Boston Road from Hildreth Street near the Town Common while the crash scene was investigated.
The roadway was reopened at approximately 10:30 p.m.
Westford Police Lt. James Peloquin said the District Attorney's Office and State Police were involved in the investigation and more information would be released later.
The Boston Road wreck is the third serious crash reported in Westford since Thursday.
Lynne Tierney, 50, of North Billerica, was declared dead at the scene when her car rolled over on I-495 on Thursday night, according to State Police.
