Liberty County,GA : Live Oak woman seriously injured in wreck on April, Thursday 5th 2018
A Live Oak woman was seriously injuries after being ejected from her vehicle following a wreck Thursday afternoon.
According to the Florida Highway Patrol, 20-year-old Jesse Taylor, of Live Oak, who was traveling south on 193rd Road at 2:50 p.m. Thursday, failed to stop at a stop sign at the County Road 136 intersection in western Suwannee County.
The FHP report states that Taylor’s Infinity Q30 struck the driver’s side of a Chevrolet Envoy, driven by 44-year-old Carla Patterson, also of Live Oak, who was headed east on CR 136.
According to the report, the Envoy overturned while spinning counter clockwise and Patterson was ejected.
The Envoy ended up overturned in the ditch on the south side of the county road, with Patterson near the vehicle, according to the report. The report states it is unknown if Patterson was wearing a seatbelt.
Patterson was transported to UF Health Shands Hospital in Gainesville in serious condition.
Taylor, who was not wearing a seatbelt, suffered just minor injuries and was not taken to a hospital.
Charges are pending an investigation.
