Sacramento, CA : Two separate vehicle collision on May, Monday 8th 2017
Traffic was tied up along northbound Highway 101 after two separate vehicle collisions, the California Highway Patrol said.
The first incident was reported at 10:45 a.m. near the California Street exit after a big-rig truck and three other vehicles collided, the CHP said. No one was reported injured in that incident. The CHP remained on scene around noon as tow trucks were en route to help clear some of the vehicles from the highway, the CHP said.
Less than 30 minutes after the first collision, three other vehicles crashed along northbound Highway 101 just south of the Seaward on-ramp. Three people were reported injured in that crash, although none were reported to have been taken to area hospitals, the CHP said.
The second accident was reported at 11:12 a.m. The occupants in all of the vehicles were said to be out of the vehicles as of 11:25 a.m.
The CHP, along with paramedics from the Ventura County Fire Department, were on scene.
At least one lane of traffic along northbound Highway 101 was blocked as a result of the crashes.
