Wichita, KS : Two people injured, one critically, in crash at Pawnee and Seneca in Wichita on Wednesday afternoon, February 17, 2016

A man has suffered critical injuries in a crash Wednesday afternoon in south Wichita.

It happened just before 4:30 p.m. at Pawnee and Seneca. Dispatchers said a van and a Pontiac Firebird collided in the intersection, though they did not have details on exactly how the crash happened.

A man in his 40s was rushed to a hospital with critical injuries. One other person was listed in serious condition.

No names have been released.

Police shut down eastbound and southbound traffic in the area while they cleared the scene.
