A Bennington County game warden crashed a state truck on an icy road Thursday, but no one was hurt, said Sgt. Thomas McCoy of Vermont State Police.
Travis R. Buttle, 43, of Shaftsbury, was driving a 2013 Chevrolet 2500 truck on Route 67 in Shaftsbury around 2 p.m. Thursday. Buttle, who was on duty at the time, lost control of the vehicle around a corner while attempting to negotiate a moderate curve in the road, McCoy said.
The truck went off the roadway and collided head on with a utility pole, police said.
The crash caused both airbags to deploy, but Buttle was not injured.
