Titusville, FL : Motorcyclist killed in fatal crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County on Sunday, July 17, 2016

A motorcyclist was killed Sunday in a crash on Interstate 95 in Brevard County, the Florida Highway Patrol said.

The crash was reported shortly before 4:30 p.m. near mile marker 193, troopers said.

Troopers said a pickup towing a boat suffered a tire tread separation and lost control, causing another driver to hit the motorcyclist.

The motorcyclist, who has not been identified, was pronounced dead at the scene.

The crash remains under investigation.
