Cleveland, OH : Valet worker died in hit-and-run accident on E. 9th Street near Prospect Avenue on Saturday, February 28, 2015

Police say a valet worker was hit by a vehicle just outside the 9 building on E. 9th Street near Prospect Avenue around 6 p.m. Saturday.

The victim was taken to a local hospital with serious injuries.

Police say the unidentified driver struck the valet worker and then ran him over.

Authorities tell WKYC this is a hit-and-run incident as the female driver fled the scene in the blue Nissan Rogue she was driving.

Police are investigating.

E. 9th Street was temporarily closed between Euclid and Prospect.
