Milwaukee County, WI : Wrong-way driver arrested in car crash in Highway 45 Mayfair On Thursday December 24 2015

A wrong-way driver made it more than five miles on Highway 45 early Thursday before she was stopped near Mayfair Road, the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office reported.
According to the sheriff's office, another driver called 911 about 2:15 a.m. when they noticed a car heading south in the northbound lanes of Highway 45 from Appleton Ave.
A deputy and a Highway Patrol trooper stopped Carmen M. Mitchell, who told them she had one and a half drinks at a friend's house.
Mitchell, 31, of Milwaukee, refused a preliminary breath test, and a blood draw at Froedtert Hospital, prompting investigators to get a search warrant for a forced blood sample.
The sheriff's office indicated Mitchell will be referred for charges of first offense drunken driving, driving the wrong way on a divided highway, second degree recklessly endangering safety and driving while suspended.
