CAPE CORAL, FL : Child involved in rollover crash that injured pedestrian in Cape Coral on Wednesday, 21st October, 2020

A young girl was involved in a rollover crash that seriously injured a pedestrian in Cape Coral Wednesday night, according to the Cape Coral Police Department.

The crash happened at Diplomat and NE 6th Ave.

The young girl ran in front of the car that was trying to cross Diplomat, CCPD officials said. When the driver swerved to avoid hitting the child, the car hit a storm drain and flipped on top of the child.The pedestrian was trauma alerted to a local hospital with life threatening injuries, police reported.
