Shelbyville, IN : A Fountaintown teenager was injured when he was struck by a car on April, Wednesday 19th 2017
A Fountaintown teenager was injured when he was struck by a car Wednesday afternoon. He was taken to MHP Medical Center for treatment.
Jacob Asher, 16, of Fountaintown, was injured when he ran out into South Harrison Street as a Chevrolet Camaro was driving by.
Asher told Shelbyville police he thought another car was the last vehicle going southbound and tried to make it past her car, but was struck. He was unsure what part of the Chevrolet struck him, but he had a broken front tooth, a swollen lip and complained of pain in his right foot.
The driver told police they saw him on the sidewalk and didn’t see him again until he was in front of them. They said he was on the driver’s side of the front bumper when the accident occurred.
A witness saw the accident and told police he saw Asher run out in front of the Chevrolet.
