Sarasota County, FL : Woman sought in Sarasota hit-and-run crash on Wednesday, April 8, 2015

Authorities are searching for a woman who fled the scene of an accident Wednesday night in Sarasota.

According to a report from the Florida Highway Patrol:

Carolyn F. Mills, 40, of Bradenton was stopped in traffic on Swift Road near the intersection with Arnold Street at about 4:45 Wednesday. A maroon SUV, possibly a Chevy or Ford, was unable to stop and collided with the rear of Mills' 2003 Honda CRV.

Neither driver was injured.

After the crash, both vehicles pulled into the parking lot of a nearby business. After a brief conversation, the driver of the car that rear-ended Mills fled the scene.

She is described as slim, 5 foot 3, with long dark hair, and between 20 to 30 years old.
