Chesterton, IN : A Portage man was killed on Saturday, August 5, 2017

A Portage man was killed Saturday in a two-vehicle accident on I-80/94 in Lake County, the Indiana State Police said.
The victim was identified as Devin Risher, 28.
According to police, at 10:20 p.m. Risher was eastbound in the far left lane of I-80/94 when, near the 3.6 mile marker, his Chevrolet van struck a GMC Yukon eastbound in the left center lane being driven by Annie Iskra, 43, of Kirkland, Ohio.
Risher’s van then began to fishtail across all lanes of traffic before striking the concrete barrier wall and overturning, coming to a rest on its passenger side. Police said that Risher--who was not wearing his seatbelt--was trapped inside the van and died of blunt force trauma.
The eastbound lanes of I80/94 were closed from 10:33 p.m. to 12:36 a.m. Sunday.
