Motorcyclist Killed In Crash in 37000 block of Hill Valley Road

A man was killed in a motorcycle crash in the 37000 block of Hill Valley Road early Sunday morning, according to a press release from the Racine County Sheriff’s Office.

The man was identified as a 29-year-old from the Town of Waterford in the release, but his name was withheld pending notification of the family.

The crash, involving just the man and his motorcycle, was reported at 2:42 a.m. by a passing driver who came across the scene, according to Sgt. David Coughlin, adding that the cause is still unclear.

“(It’s) unknown if alcohol or speed is a mitigating factor,” Coughlin said.

He added that the man was not wearing a helmet.

Responding emergency personnel and deputies tried to save the man when they arrived, but were unsuccessful, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene, the release stated.

Investigation into the cause of the crash is ongoing, according to the release.
