Gatlinburg, TN : One person is dead after a car crash on Thursday October 9th 2014.

One person is dead after a crash on the Spur in Sevier County. Great Smoky Mountains Park Rangers say the single-car wreck happened around 2:15 a.m. Thursday near Beech Branch Road. Officials say 37-year-old Heather Hendrix, of Hurricane Mills, was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver, 33-year-old Corey Patrick, of Johnsonville, was taken to U.T. Medical Center.
