AVON, MA : Route 24 re-opened following dramatic crash near Brockton on Friday, January, 19th 2018

A white sedan was split in half – leaning against a utility pole that was snapped at its base early Friday morning

Nearby, a 23-year-old woman was found on the ground, having been ejected from the vehicle.

And both sides of the highway, Route 24, were completely shut down for hours following the dramatic crash near exit 19, for Harrison Boulevard in Avon.

The crash occurred just after 2 a.m. Following a collision with another vehicle, the white sedan “continued to travel off the road, where it struck trees and the utility pole,” State Police said in a written statement.
