Fond Du Lac, WI : Two killed, three injured in crash on I-41 in Fond du Lac on Wednesday, June 22, 2016
Authorities say a crash on Interstate 41 has killed two people, including an 8-year-old boy, and injured three others in Fond du Lac.
The crash happened around 11:40 a.m. Wednesday in the northbound lanes of the freeway.
The Wisconsin State Patrol says a semi-truck was slowing down when the crash happened. A car behind the semi also was slowing down, but a Jeep Grand Cherokee then hit that vehicle from behind.
An 8-year-old boy and a 26-year-old man, both from Neenah, who were in the middle vehicle died at the scene. WLUK-TV reports one person was airlifted to a hospital with serious injuries and two others were taken by ambulance with non-life-threatening injuries.
The northbound lanes of I-41 have reopened.
