CADOTT, WI : Pedestrian killed in crash near Cadott on Friday, January, 26th 2018
An 86-year-old pedestrian died after he was struck by a vehicle Friday night near Cadott.
Harry L. Walker of Cadott died at an area hospital.
According to information released by Chippewa County Sheriff Jim Kowalczyk:
The sheriff’s office was notified around 5:45 p.m. Friday of a car-pedestrian crash on Highway X just east of the Cadott village limits.
Walker was struck while crossing Highway X after parking his vehicle on the south shoulder. Brennan C. Kaz, 21, of Clark County was driving the striking vehicle.
Walker was transported by ambulance to an area hospital, where he died.
At the time of the crash, Kaz was traveling east on Highway X, and he said he didn’t see Walker until he hit him.
Walker was dressed in dark clothing, which was attributed as a factor in the crash.
The crash remains under investigation, but alcohol doesn’t appear to be a factor in the crash.
