Two West Virginia residents were killed Saturday during a multiple-vehicle accident on Interstate 77 in northern Washington County in which a Senecaville resident was involved.
Motorcyclist John S. Long, 67, of Union, W.Va., was pronounced dead at the scene of the accident while a passenger, Kristi J. Long, 66, of Union, died at Marietta Memorial Hospital a short time after the accident.
The Longs were wearing helmets at the time of the accident.
A motorcycle operated by John S. Long reportedly made contact with a pickup truck and trailer operated by William Paulson, 62, of Senecaville.
A press release issued by the Ohio State HIghway Patrol did not indicate how the contact was made between the motorcycle and truck.
