Joplin, MO : A motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash on Tuesday, 24th April 2018

A motorcyclist suffered fatal injuries in a two-vehicle crash Tuesday night at Seventh Street and Tri-State Road.

Joplin police said Donald D. Kidwell III, 38, of Galena, Kansas, died of his injuries at Mercy Hospital Joplin, where he was taken after the crash at 8:54 p.m.

The other driver was identified as Mark Rohr, 58, of Joplin. Police said Rohr, a former Joplin city manager, was turning east at a stop sign when the motorcycle collided with his vehicle, striking it in the rear driver's side.

Police closed off Seventh Street from Schifferdecker Avenue to Black Cat Road to respond to and investigate the crash.
