A driver is charged with DWI after crashing on Interstate 485 in east Mecklenburg county early Thursday morning.
It happened around 1:55 a.m. on I-485 inner at Rock River Road. Troopers say the driver was traveling at a high speed on the interstate when he lost control of his car, ran off the road and got entangled in steel cables that divide the highway.
All of the people in the car, including the driver and two passengers, were not injured.
No other vehicles were involved.
