Three people were hospitalized for injuries after a crash that delayed traffic in central Contra Costa County and drew investigators from two police agencies Monday afternoon.
At 4:40 p.m., Martinez police officers were sent to Taylor Boulevard and Pleasant Hill Road to aid Pleasant Hill police with a reported traffic collision involving at least three vehicles, according to a statement late Monday.
Arriving officers found witnesses who said a bleeding adult male ran from one of the vehicles and began jumping fences and going through nearby backyards.
Pleasant Hill police found the man, who suffered injuries from the collision and possible stab wounds, near Dublin Court and Dublin Drive. He was taken to a hospital for treatment.
Two other vehicles' drivers suffered minor injuries and were taken to hospitals for treatment.
Martinez police are investigating the driver's stab wounds, while Pleasant Hill police are investigating the collision. No information was available on the driver's condition.
