Jacksonville, FL : Palm Coast mother and daughter killed in crash on Monday, January 17th 2017

A 55-year-old Palm Coast woman and her 17-year-old daughter were killed early Monday when their Ford Fusion was hit by a truck that ran a red light at Palm Coast Parkway and Lupi Court, according to the Florida Highway Patrol.


Terri Lynn Wickel and her daughter, Margaret Ann Wickel, were killed in the 6:50 a.m. crash, the Highway Patrol said.

Investigators said the mother and daughter were headed west on Palm Coast Parkway as 25-year-old Tyler Wayne Wilkinson of Palm Coast was pulling up to the Lupi Court traffic signal. Witnesses told troopers that Wilkinson’s Chevrolet Silverado pickup truck ran the red light at the intersection, then hit the Wickels’ sedan, according to the crash report. Both vehicles ended up in a ditch.

All were wearing seat belts, according to the report. Wilkinson had minor injuries.
