A school bus driver and two Lodi School District students were hurt Wednesday morning in a collision with a dump truck.
Officials responded to the crash at Fellows Road and County Highway V in the Town of Dane just before 7 a.m., according to a release from the Dane County sheriff's office.
Officials say the school bus driver, Linda Sparocio, 63, of Poynette was headed south on Fellows Road when she failed to stop at the stop sign where the road meets County Highway V. The driver of the eastbound dump truck on County Highway V, Dalton Ziegler, 21, of Dane tried to brake and avoid the collision, but hit the front corner of the bus.
Sparocio and the two students were taken to the hospital and are expected to survive. Sparocio will be cited for failing to stop at a stop sign, according to the sheriff's office.
