LINCOLN, NE : Nebraska State Patrol trooper involved in three-vehicle crash en route to assist Lincoln Police on Wednesday, 31st January 2024

A Nebraska State Patrol trooper responding to a call for assistance from the Lincoln Police Department was involved in a three-vehicle crash on Highway 77.

According to NSP, on Wednesday at 12:25 a.m., a trooper was traveling with lights and siren activated, northbound on Highway 77 near Van Dorn, when his patrol unit hit ice on the roadway and lost control.

NSP said the trooper’s vehicle rear ended a Chevrolet Malibu in the northbound lanes and crossed the median where it collided with a southbound Chrysler Pacifica.

All three drivers were transported to the hospital where they were treated and released.
