MARIANNA, FL : An Alabama woman has died after a vehicle struck on Saturday, July 15, 2017

Officials say an Alabama woman has died after a vehicle struck her in Florida.

According to a Florida Highway Patrol report, 41-year-old Teresa Lynn Brown of Slocomb, Alabama was pronounced dead at the scene on Saturday after being hit by a pickup truck. The incident occurred in Jackson County along U.S. Route 231, half a mile (.8 kilometers) north of State Road 71.

The report says the 2006 Ford F-350 was driving south on U.S. 231 when Brown walked into the truck’s path while trying to cross the road. The truck’s driver and passenger were uninjured.
