SOUTHINGTON, CT : Evading car crashes in Southington on Wednesday, September 27th 2017
Emergency crews are responding to a crash in the area of Oak and Academy streets involving an evading vehicle.
Crews were dispatched around 8:25 p.m. to the area of 36 Oak Street for a car crash, and then were dispatched to the area of 79 Academy Street for an evading vehicle. It’s unclear whether the two incidents, a block from North Main Street, are related.
According to dispatch reports, the vehicle may have struck a parked car and a fire hydrant.One person reportedly was transported to St. Mary’s Hospital and one person reportedly went to Bradley Memorial Hospital. The extent of the injuries is unclear.
Police have closed Academy Lane at Berlin Avenue.
