JACKSON COUNTY, MS : Lucedale woman dies after fatal crash in Jackson County on Sunday, January 29th 2017

A fatal car wreck early Sunday morning in Jackson County has left a Lucedale woman dead.

Destinie Chantal Stauter, 21, died in the single-vehicle accident. Officials say her car crashed on the southbound side of Highway 613 near Tanner Williams around 1:30 a.m.

Officials say Stauter was driving southbound in a 2015 Toyota Corolla when she lost control and flipped off the left side of the road. Stauter, who was not wearing a seat belt, was ejected from the vehicle.

According to Jackson County Deputy Coroner Jason Moody, Stauter died at the scene.
