Newport, KY : Woman hurt in second horse-drawn carriage crash on Taylor–Southgate Bridge on June 13th 2014

Another crash involving a horse-drawn carriage shut down part of the Taylor-Southgate Bridge Friday evening, according to emergency communications.

Police at the scene told Campbell County dispatchers the driver of one carriage was ejected and injured after the crash.

Traffic coming from Cincinnati was shut down, according to emergency communications.

The incident came just about 24 hours after a woman was flung off her carriage and onto the side of the bridge Thursday, a witness said.

That woman underwent surgery Friday and is expected to recover.
