Lancaster, OH : Man seriously injured in vehicle crash on Fairfield County on Monday November 23 2015

A Fairfield County Deputy and another man were seriously hurt when a vehicle slammed into the two while standing outside a previous accident scene.
Both of their families are suffering and say they cannot understand how someone can crash into a cruiser with its emergency lights flashing.
NBC4 spoke with family and friends of the two men.
Investigators said a minor fender-bender on Monday evening on S.R. 33 involving a pickup truck driven by Bill Allman and two other vehicles turned into major accident closing 33 for hours.Lacey Dawes is one of Allman’s six children and said she’s running his garage while he lays in a coma at Grant Medical Center. She said she worries for herself and son when they are on the road.
It happened, but not to me, to my dad and he is the rock of this family; the rock of this business and without him we wouldn’t know what to do,” she said.
Allman and Fairfield County Deputy Lyle Campbell were crushed between his cruiser and a car driven by a Houston Texas man. NBC4 is not naming him because he has not been charged. Fairfield County Sheriff Dave Phalen visited Campbell and said he was in a lot of pain.
He was in a lot of pain. At that time he was having a lot of problems remembering exactly what happened he was in a state of shock,” said Phalen.
Phalen said deputies and Campbell’s family are supporting him as he just came out of surgery on his legs.
Both Campbell and Allman are well known and liked. Allman’s garage changed oil on 85 veterans vehicles for free on Veteran’s Day and is responsible for Navy Veteran Bob Comyack getting a free rebuilt SUV.
You know that is just Bill and the entire Allman family. They just open their hearts to whoever needs something,” said Comyack.
