Enid, OK : A one-vehicle accident in Grant County on Wednesday, November, 22nd 2017
A Kansas man was injured in a one-vehicle accident in Grant County on Wednesday.
The accident occurred at 5:25 p.m. at 75500 Latimer, approximately 6 miles south and 4 miles west of Manchester in Grant County.
Alejandro Jesus Allende, 20, of Great Bend, Kan., was driving a 2007 Ford F-250 when he ran off the right side of the road, overcorrected and ran off the left side of the road, causing the vehicle to roll 1.5 times, according to an Oklahoma Highway Patrol report.
Allende was ejected 25 feet.
He was transported by Alfalfa County EMS to St. Mary’s Regional Medical Center in Enid. He was later medi-flighted to OU Medical Center in Oklahoma City, where he was admitted in critical condition with internal trunk and leg injuries, the report states.
A passenger, Martin Villalobos Jr., 20, of Great Bend, Kan., was not injured.
Both the condition of the driver and the cause of the collision are under investigation. Seat belts were not in use at the time of the accident, according to the report.
