Allentown, PA : Route 309 hit-run crash hurts woman in northwest Lehigh County on Wednesday, 25th April 2018

A vehicle crashed on its side, injuring a woman Wednesday night on Route 309 near Northwestern Lehigh High School, according to emergency radio reports.

The accident was reported as a hit-and-run crash 10:15 p.m. on Route 309 at Country Road, Heidelberg Township, just east of the high school.

State police were looking for a damaged pickup truck going northwest on Route 309.

The woman was trapped in her car, but freed by a New Tripoli fire rescue crew within 15 minutes. She was taken by Northern Valley EMS to a hospital.

Information on the woman’s condition was not available Wednesday night.
