Federal Way, WA : Semi crash, fire blocks northbound I-5 in Federal Way on Wednesday morning, June 25, 2014

An early morning collision between two semi-trucks erupted in flames and caused wreckage and debris that restricted the northbound lanes of Interstate 5 at Federal Way into Wednesday morning rush hour.

Before the lanes were cleared about 7:30 a.m. the Transportation Department said the backup near Wild Waves water park extended six miles.

One of the drivers reportedly injured his wrist. The other was not injured.

The burning trailer carried a load of paper cups that were difficult to extinguish.
