Caribou, ME : Two dead after vehicle collides with city-owned dump truck in northeastern Maine Wednesday September 23 2015
Police say a couple is dead after the vehicle they were in collided with a dump truck in northeastern Maine.
Caribou Police say the crash happened around 1 p.m. Wednesday at the intersection of Route 1 and the Caribou Connector.
police say 84-year-old Robert Plummer, of Fort Fairfield, was driving a 2007 Honda CRV and failed to yield. He was then hit by an International dump truck owned by the Caribou Public Works Department.
Police say a 40-year-old Caribou man was driving the dump truck.
Plummer died at the scene. 83-year-old Rachel Plummer who was riding with him was taken to Cary Medical Center, where she died of her injuries.
