GRAND ISLAND, NE : Grand Island man, 28, killed in Hall County crash on Wednesday, January, 10th 2018

Authorities say a driver was fatally injured when his car crashed with a pickup truck in south-central Nebraska.

The crash was reported around 4:55 p.m. Wednesday at a rural intersection about 5 miles northwest of Grand Island.

The Hall County Sheriff’s Office said the eastbound car didn’t halt for a stop sign and was struck by the northbound pickup

The car’s driver, Dustin Shaw, 28, of Grand Island, was pronounced dead at a Grand Island hospital.

The pickup driver was expected to survive his injuries. The patrol identified him as Richard Hickman, 38, of Dannebrog.
