Ventura, CA : One dead after rollover crash on Highway 126 in Ventura on Sunday night, July 3, 2016

One person was dead Sunday night after a car traveling eastbound on Highway 126 rolled over near the Wells Road exit in Ventura, authorities said.

Preliminary information indicated that the single car may have run off the roadway about 8:46 p.m., according to the California Highway Patrol. The driver was pronounced dead at the scene, officials with the Ventura County Fire Department said.

CHP closed the Wells Road exit as they began their investigation into the crash, authorities said.
