Kenosha, WI : Motorcyclist dies in a fatal crash at Kenosha County On Saturday, July 9th, 2016

Emergency officials responded to a fatal motorcycle crash Saturday evening in Kenosha County.

John Leisen, 68, of Twin Lakes, was identified as the driver who was killed in the crash.

The crash occurred around 8 p.m. Saturday, in the 31600 block of Bassett Road. Officials say Leisen failed to negotiate the curve just west of County Highway FR, or 312th Avenue, and struck a pole on the side of the road.

Leisen was not wearing a helmet at the time.

Kenosha County Sheriff's deputies along with Randall Fire Department, Salem Fire and Rescue and Silver Lake Rescue Sqaud responded to the crash.

The cause of the crash is under investigation.
