Collier County, FL : One person died in a single-vehicle rollover crash on Monday night October 27th 2014
The Florida Highway Patrol says one person died in a single-vehicle rollover crash late Monday night.
In a press release, FHP said 22-year-old Daniel Allen Woodward of Naples, crashed near the intersection of Desoto Boulevard and Randall Boulevard.
FHP says Woodward, for unknown reasons, crossed the center lane while driving east on Randall Boulevard. He went off the road, hit a mailbox, then struck a culvert and "vaulted over a driveway."
According to FHP, Woodward then hit a second culvert, vaulting over a second driveway with the car overturning in the air and landing on it's roof.
The crash threw Woodward from the car and first responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
Woodward's passenger, 22-year-old Jesse Lee Freeman of Fort Myers, was injured in the crash. He is listed in serious condition at downtown NCH.
FHP says speed was a factor in this crash.
