Ontario, CA : 1 killed, 1 injured in Corona 3-car crash on Friday, 16th March 2018

A motorist was killed and another was injured Friday in a three-car collision in east Corona.

The wreck happened about 9:15 a.m. near the intersection of All American Way and Magnolia Avenue, according to the Corona Police Department.

Investigators didn’t provide specific details, saying only that two cars impacted one another and spun into a third vehicle.

According to police, one driver, whose identity was not immediately released, suffered major injuries and perished at the scene, despite efforts by paramedics to save him.

The other driver, whose car sustained significant damage, suffered minor injuries but declined to be taken to a hospital for treatment.

The third motorist was not hurt and left the scene before police arrived but returned a few minutes later to give a statement, investigators said.

Magnolia was shut down for more than two hours between All American Way and Trademark Circle while the wreckage was cleared and a preliminary investigation was conducted.

It was unclear whether alcohol or drugs contributed to the collision.
