Eau Claire,WI : Chippewa County crash kills one on May,Monday 28th 2018

One person is dead and another is being treated by medical staff following a single-vehicle crash in Monday in the Chippewa County town of Wheaton.

According to the Chippewa County Sheriff’s office:

The crash, which took place at approximately 1:35 p.m., occurred on Highway 29, just west of 90th Street.

The westbound vehicle entered the north ditch and started to roll, severely damaging the vehicle.

Both occupants were taken to a nearby hospital, where the driver was pronounced dead.

The names of those involved are currently being withheld pending family notification.
