Charleston,IL : One hurt in accident east of Casey on January, Friday 2nd 2018

One driver needed medical attention after a two-vehicle accident east of Casey Friday afternoon.

The accident took place about 3:40 p.m. on U.S. Route 40 when the driver of one vehicle failed to stop at the intersection of County Road 300E, according to a news release from Illinois State Police.

The driver of the vehicle on Route 40, Kristi East, 39, of Casey was taken to an unspecified hospital after the accident, the news release said.

It identified the other driver only as a 16-year-old from Casey and said that person was cited for disregarding a stop sign.
