tate police say two people are in critical condition after separate snowmobile crashes in northern New York last weekend.

Troopers say the first crash occurred around 2 p.m. Saturday, when Channa Martin of Gabriels lost control on a trail curve and slammed head-on into a tree in the town of Duane, on the Adirondack Park's northern boundary.

She was found by another snowmobiler who took her to a home to call for help.
