BOYNTON BEACH, FL : Boynton-area woman, 87, killed in single-vehicle crash on Sunday, 2nd February, 2020

An 87-year-old woman was killed Sunday night in a single-vehicle crash in suburban Boynton Beach, the Palm Beach County Sheriff’s Office reports.

Authorities identified the woman as Sandra Brooks of suburban Boynton Beach. The crash occurred at about 10:35 p.m. near Boynton Beach Boulevard and Hagen Ranch Road, according to a sheriff’s crash report released Monday.

Investigators say Brooks was driving a 2015 Toyota Camry on Boynton Beach Beach Boulevard when she lost control of the vehicle and traveled onto the median and struck a tree.

Brooks was taken Delray Medical Center, where she succumbed to her injuries.
