Charlotte ,NC : One person injured and blocked Independence Blvd after the wreck at Albemarle Road on Wednesday early morning ,March 25th 2015

Emergency crews have closed the inbound lanes of Independence Blvd. in east Charlotte after a crash early Wednesday morning.

All but one lane was closed inbound between Albemarle Road and Eastway Drive after the wreck around 5:45 a.m.

MEDIC told Channel 9 one person was taken to Carolinas Medical Center with life threatening injuries in the crash.

All lanes reopened just before 7:30 a.m.
