KENOSHA COUNTY, WI : Woman killed in crash in Kenosha County on Friday, August 18, 2017

A woman, 56, died from serious head injuries she suffered in a crash Friday afternoon in Kenosha County.

The crash happened a little after 2 p.m. Friday at Highways 50 and 83.

The Kenosha County Sheriff's Office said the driver of a Chevrolet Camaro exited a parking lot to travel eastbound, but didn't see a 2004 Honda Element traveling eastbound. The Camaro hit the Element in the passenger side, causing it to roll over.

The driver of the Element, Melanie Olson, was not wearing a seatbelt. She was pronounced dead at the scene.

The driver of the Camaro was cited for failing to yield right of way causing death and improper right turn.
