A motorcycle driver died after striking a deer in Spartanburg County on Sundy, troopers report.
The incident occurred on Rainbow Lake Road at 4:42 p.m.
Rodney Joe Frady, 52 of Boiling Springs, was pronounced dead at 5:34 p.m. at Spartanburg Medial Center, the coroner reports.
Frady was not wearing a helmet when he struck a deer while riding on a 1995 Harley Davidson motorcycle. According to troopers, the deer ran out on the road. Frady was ejected from the vehicle and transported by EMS to Spartanburg Regional Medical where he died.
